Dozens of former cheerleaders for the Philadelphia Eagles have joined a lawsuit charging that visiting NFL players -- including those from the 49ers and Raiders -- spied on them as they showered and dressed in a Veterans Stadium locker room. In an expanded lawsuit filed yesterday in a Philadelphia court, 44 former cheerleaders seek damages from members of 29 National Football League teams that played at the stadium between and this year. The players spied on the women through holes in a door that separates the visitors' locker room from the cheerleaders' shower room, and through cracks in various walls and scratches in a painted window, the lawsuit claims. McKenna said he has not gotten any responses to the private letters sent to the NFL commissioner's office or to the lawsuits sent to the defendant teams and their insurance companies. A spokesman for the 49ers and a spokesman for the NFL both refused to comment on the lawsuit today because it is a legal matter. Raiders executive assistant Al LoCasale also refused to discuss the suit this morning, saying, "I'm up to my ass in alligators and we're trying to get a stadium ready for the playoffs.
